1️⃣ English Language का परिचय

English एक प्रमुख international language है जिसका प्रयोग communication, education, science, technology, business और अन्य क्षेत्रों में व्यापक रूप से किया जाता है।

Language: भाषा विचारों, भावनाओं और सूचनाओं को व्यक्त करने का एक माध्यम है।

English Grammar का उद्देश्य केवल rules याद करना नहीं है, बल्कि सही शब्द, सही sentence structure और सही language usage को समझना भी है।

Exam Point: English सीखने के लिए Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening और Speaking सभी महत्वपूर्ण हैं।

English Alphabet में कुल 26 letters होते हैं।

Capital Letters:

3️⃣ Capital और Small Letters

English letters दो मुख्य रूपों में लिखे जाते हैं—Capital Letters और Small Letters।

Capital Letters

A, B, C, D, E, F...

Small Letters

a, b, c, d, e, f...

Capital Letter का प्रयोग: Sentence की शुरुआत, Proper Noun और कुछ विशेष abbreviations में किया जाता है।

4️⃣ Vowels

English में मुख्य vowels हैं:

A, E, I, O, U

इन पाँच letters को सामान्यतः vowel letters कहा जाता है। Letter Y कुछ शब्दों में vowel sound दे सकता है।

5️⃣ Consonants

Vowels के अतिरिक्त English Alphabet के बाकी letters को सामान्यतः consonants कहा जाता है।

21 Consonants:
B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N,
P, Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y, Z

Consonant sounds में सामान्यतः airflow में किसी न किसी प्रकार की रुकावट या संकीर्णता होती है।

6️⃣ Vowels और Consonants में अंतर

Vowels	Consonants
A, E, I, O, U मुख्य vowels हैं	बाकी alphabet letters सामान्यतः consonants हैं
Vowel sounds में airflow अपेक्षाकृत खुला रहता है	Consonant sounds में airflow में रुकावट/संकीर्णता हो सकती है
Vowel sound syllable का मुख्य भाग बन सकता है	Consonants syllable की संरचना में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं

7️⃣ Letter और Sound में अंतर

Letter लिखित भाषा की एक इकाई है, जबकि Sound वह ध्वनि है जिसे बोलते या सुनते समय महसूस किया जाता है।

Example:
The word cat has three letters: c, a, t.

इस word में letters और उनके द्वारा व्यक्त sounds को अलग-अलग समझना महत्वपूर्ण है।

Important: English में हमेशा एक letter = एक sound नहीं होता। एक ही letter अलग-अलग words में अलग sound दे सकता है।

8️⃣ English Sounds की Basic Understanding

English pronunciation समझने के लिए letter और sound के बीच का संबंध समझना जरूरी है।

Pronunciation
किसी word को सही तरीके से बोलने की प्रक्रिया।

एक ही letter अलग words में अलग sound दे सकता है। इसलिए केवल spelling देखकर pronunciation का अनुमान लगाना हमेशा सही नहीं होता।

Vowel letters और vowel sounds को एक ही चीज नहीं समझना चाहिए। English में vowels कई प्रकार की sounds को represent कर सकते हैं।

hot – vowel letter O
cup – vowel letter U

English में vowel sounds को broadly short sounds और long sounds जैसे concepts के माध्यम से समझा जाता है।
